In 2002 our Chamber started the tradition of organizing Thanksgiving Dinner in accordance with the Canadian traditions on 14th of October
Lobster Party - November
Our most popular event remains the Chamber's annual Lobster party, which attracts over 400 epicures hungry for the taste of Canadian crustaceans that are flown in from Halifax especially for this festive occasion.
The idea and the organization of the first Lobster Dinner was assisted by the Canadian Embassy and dates back to 1993. The first dinners were at Moose&Goose, than for long years the venue was the Kaltenberg Pub&Restaurant. In 2000 the number of participanst grew so much, that a new location had to be found, which was and still is the Hotel Intercontinental.
